HIV+ Children Were Visited by Santa! And More…
On December 20, 2008 we organized real New Year festivities, complete with Ded Moroz (the Russian Santa), his granddaughter Snegurochka (the Snow Maiden), and a whole bunch of presents for the HIV+ children living in an orphanage. Not only those who came to visit, but also all of you who answered our call and sent toys, clothes, and money for the children, took part in this celebration. We thank you for answering our call, for your help and your care for these children. I
Project coordinator, Sasha:
It seemed that it was not actually a charity event, but rather a real festival in which all participants received and gave happiness on equal terms. The atmosphere was very warm and open-hearted. It was great that every child got plenty of individual attention - even though not for a long time - tactible contact with the adults and real, living and priceless humane care, which was way beyond the norms of orphanages.
All presents were very appropriate, thanks to those who couldn’t appear in person, but sent there warmth through toys
