ComingOutInfo: Information on How to Become a Parent

Dear friends!

We invite you to the first event of the new project ComingOutInfo.

On Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 18.00, we will continue the topic of LGBT and parenting. We have invited experts who will tell us about the various possibilities available to Russians gays and lesbians have today to have children, such as artificial insemination, adoption, guardianship, and foster families.

- we will touch upon the issues concerning medical, legal and psychological aspects of artificial reproduction methods (Intrauterine insemination – IUI, In vitro fertilization – IVF, Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection – ICSI, surrogate motherhood);

- we will discuss how to prepare for impregnation and what to begin with;

- we will tell you about clinic’s requirements;

- we will inform you about Saint-Petersburg clinic’s prices;

- we will tell how to formalize adoption/ guardianship/ foster family.

The workshops of ComingOutInfo are conducted in an interactive mode, and guests will have the opportunity to ask painful questions and participate in discussion of artificial reproduction methods.

We are waiting for you to join us on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 18.00 (the workshop is planned till 20.30).
