University flashmob

Day Of Silence was always a student action, that is why we encourage all not-indifferent students regardless of your sexual orientation and gender identity to join.

If you have lesbian, gay bisexual or transgeder friends, acquaintances or relatives and you understand that homophobic harassment, bullying and violence affect not only them, but everyone then be silent on this day and give away “speaking cards” to show your solidarity.

“Speaking cards” will tell why hundreds of thousands of people are silent on the Day of Silence:

“Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence, an international youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT) and allies in schools. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today. What are you going to do to end the silence?”

It is your silence that may make someone think about the injustice that is so widespread against LGBTs and our allies.

Will there be a Day Of Silence in YOUR university?
