Since 2005, November 4th is the day of celebration of “Day of National Unity”. Many neo-Nazi nationalists now consider this also to be a holiday to celebrate fascist virtues. On this day, throughout the country, there will be “Marches for Russia” and other neo-Nazi demonstrations.

As a response, on the 4th of November, there will also be a series of public events, “Protect Our City from Fascism” All sympathetic social organizations (including “Coming Out”) and residents of Petersburg will participate. For us gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered, this is a chance to show our position: In this world, every person has a place and we recognize the human worth of every individual - regardless of skin color, religion, denomination, wealth, sexual orientation, and beliefs. We believe, that in this world, all have the right to live without violence, or oppression and live in happiness! This fall, our work continues providing legal services for members of the LGBT community.

The theme of the first seminar: Judicial obstacles and legal capabilities achieved by parents in LBGT families. The seminar will touch on the following:

* The realization of the rights and privileges of our biological children
* The adoption of children through in a legal manner
* Caring for one or two foster children
* The temporary transfer of children, orphans, and children living without parental care
* Surrogate motherhood

You may also ask your own questions about LGBT parenthood.

The seminar will be lead by our lawyer, Darya Starnikova, who has six years of experience with LGBT families and will be held on Thrusday, the 14th of October, at 19-00 at number 47, Ligovskiy Prospect, office number 406.

We invite lawyers who are willing to cooperation to take part in these projects.
