In 2009 “Coming Out” started organizing events for LGBT-parents.

Don’t you think that we must meet and celebrate the coming year together? You can come with or without children on Dec, 26th at 1 p.m. to office 406. Bring cookies or candies. If you’ve been to our events before we will be happy to see you again and share happy memories about past year. If you haven’t been here before than it’s a good reason to meet each other and learn more about us.

December 10, Thursday, we open a seminar “Homosexual families in Russia. Marriage of convenience between gays and lesbians. Marriage contract”.

Place: St.Petersburg, Ligovskiy prospect, 87. Office 407.

Time: 19.30.

Entrance is free.

This is the first seminar of “Homosexual Families if Russia” series. The aim is to inform LGBT community members on how to create a family in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation (which does not allow homosexual families), how to protect common property, what are the advantages and disadvantages of fictitious marriages, maternity issues etc.

Organisation “ComingOut”, Russian LGBT Network and Side by Side movie festival join German Russian Exchange to celebrate the World Volunteer Day! On December 5 we invite you in 406 office at Ligovsky 87 at 18.30 to appreciate your active work and to celebrate this wonderful day together with you!

The 2-nd International LGBT film festival “Side by Side” opens

October 23, 2009 the out-of-competition showing of Richard Oswald’s “Different from the Others” opens the 2-nd International LGBT film festival “Side by Side.

From 10th till 20th of October 2009 еру festival of Social Art Art-Sobes 2009 takes place in St. Petersburg.

This is a festival of visual (artistic) expressions on the topic of different views about men and women and their roles in different spheres of life and activities. “Coming Out” together with “International Queer Culture Festival” as partner-organisers of this festival invite you to join the project.

We assume that every person is wider than any frames and suggest to reconsider the meaning of the things that are out of standards, are left over and eventually become the source of pity, exclusion and inequality. We believe that difference can become a place to invent oneself and mutual amplification.

On September 15th psychological support group for LGBT 2009-2010 begins to work.

It’s a traditional form of a group work, which allows all the participants to discuss their problems and to find solutions to difficult life situations altogether, to share their feelings and to get support from other group members.

This form of group work helps people to make new contacts much easier and to solve communication problems, it helps them to feel assertiveness, a possibility to help other people gives joy.

The trainings devoted to narrative approach will be conducted by Darya Kutuzova on September, 11th – 13th.
