October 23, 2009 the out-of-competition showing of Richard Oswald’s “Different from the Others” opens the 2-nd International LGBT film festival “Side by Side.

From 10th till 20th of October 2009 еру festival of Social Art Art-Sobes 2009 takes place in St. Petersburg.

This is a festival of visual (artistic) expressions on the topic of different views about men and women and their roles in different spheres of life and activities. “Coming Out” together with “International Queer Culture Festival” as partner-organisers of this festival invite you to join the project.

We assume that every person is wider than any frames and suggest to reconsider the meaning of the things that are out of standards, are left over and eventually become the source of pity, exclusion and inequality. We believe that difference can become a place to invent oneself and mutual amplification.

On September 15th psychological support group for LGBT 2009-2010 begins to work.

It’s a traditional form of a group work, which allows all the participants to discuss their problems and to find solutions to difficult life situations altogether, to share their feelings and to get support from other group members.

This form of group work helps people to make new contacts much easier and to solve communication problems, it helps them to feel assertiveness, a possibility to help other people gives joy.

The trainings devoted to narrative approach will be conducted by Darya Kutuzova on September, 11th – 13th.

the first ComingOutCinema of a new season 2009-2010 which takes place on Saturday, August 22nd, will be opened by the film, devoted to the Memorial Day of victims of totalitarian regime.
The LGBT-organization “Coming Out” supports the Resolution of Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE dated July 3rd, 2009, which has assigned the day of the 23rd of August in Europe as the Memorial Day of victims of Stalinism and Nazism for the memory preservation of the victims of mass executions and deportations.

On July, 24th, at 7 p.m. the discussion on topic “Homosexual family: relationships between generations (Generation Gap)” will take place. We are going to discuss how homosexual family can build relationships with the elder generation. What should you do, if your parents do not accept your partner? What should you do, if grandmother “says” child against your family? Can we always reach the relationships that suit both sides? Are there any ways to rehabilitate destroyed family? Let’s try to ask experts and each other these and other questions concerning relationships between generations and find the answers together. Come, alone or with your parents! The meeting is going to be on 87 Ligovskiy pr., office 300.

“Chay-chay-vyruchay” (Salochki (Touch-last)<> - a very merry game for a company, teaches to the mutual aid). Unlike an ordinary game, our participants will be on rollers and will have the opportunity to show how rapid and adroit rollers they are.

On July, 16th, at 7:00 p.m. - the seminar of pregnancy planning “Modern methods of reproduction: frequently asked questions” will take place. We invite people, who want to discuss medical and juridical aspects of the artificial impregnation, and who also want to receive the information about pluses and minuses of the different Saint-Petersburg reproductive clinics and its service’s costs. During this seminar you will learn: what you should be ready for; what kind of medical tests you should pass; what you should pay attention during the conversation with the doctor.
